Heredia ist eine Stadt im mittelamerikanischen Staat Costa Rica und Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Provinz. Die Stadt hat 42.600 Einwohner und liegt auf 1140 m.ü.M. In Heredia befindet sich eine der größten Hochschule Costa Ricas, die Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica.
Heredia es una ciudad en Costa Rica ubicada a unos 10 km al noroeste San José. Es la capital del cantón y de la provincia del mismo nombre. Fue capital de Costa Rica de 1835 a 1838.
Las coordenadas de la ciudad son 10°00′N 84°12′ O y su elevación media sobre el nivel del mar es de 1150m. En 2004 tenía una población de alrededor 103.894 habitantes.
